Lake Michigan Beach Treasures - Large Soaking Salts
Walking with my eyes fixed to the ground looking for all the treasures the beach has bestowed upon me that day. Summers in my youth were spent looking for Petoskey Stones and smooth beach glass on the shores of Lake Michigan. These extra large soaking salts are reminiscent of the smooth glass found walking along the beach.
Sometimes it is hard to put smells into words. I was selling these soaking salts at the Kerstmarkt in Holland, Michigan and a visually impaired man and his friend came up to the booth. She was reading the man names of all my items before he smelled them. When she read him “Lake Michigan Beach Glass”, he said “Beach glass doesn’t smell”. I told him to smell it. He said, “It absolutely smells like the beach and reminds me of summer. I get why you named it that.”
Smell: Fresh air and summer memories
Caution: Direct contact with the batch certified dye may stain skin, cloth and tub. Although an effort was made to disperse the color with the smell through an additive, we suggest putting beach treasure bath salts in the enclosed cotton bag and then in your bath water for best results.
